PHILOSOPHY

Bowenwork is a very gentle form of bodywork that helps restart the body's own healing abilities. No cracking.. No Crunching.. No Needles
A Bowen treatment aims to help the body as a whole, by helping bring the body back into balance while also addressing the injury or pain site.
When the body is put into balance from within, the profound result is an improvement in chronic conditions and chronic pain. Long-standing issues begin to repair within the body. Better sleep, less pain, and a more productive life can be enjoyed!
Bowenwork influences the body through the connective tissue known as fascia which plays a major role in muscle coordination, postural alignment and the overall structure and functional integrity of the body. The purpose of Bowenwork is to activate the body's innate healing mechanisms so that, given time, the autonomic nervous system will self regulate, energy will move more freely, and the body will heal to the extent it is able. Small, gentle, precise moves are made over muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves triggering the body to begin a healing process.
A Bowen session is very relaxing. For many of us, stress is a constant factor in our lives. Long term stress can lead to hyperactivity in our nervous system. This can wreak havoc with our immune system, sleeping patterns, digestion and many other aspects of our health. Just allowing our nervous system to slow down during a Bowen session can have a beneficial effect on all aspects of our well-being.
The Bowen technique uses such a gentle level of touch that it is considered to be one of the safest of therapies. This gentleness means that it is ideal for use on people of all ages-from newborns through to the elderly with all manner of problems. Everyone benefits from Bowenwork!
"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."

Bowenwork is a specific series of muscle and connective tissue moves designed to release restrictions and initiate the healing process. Bowen addresses every system in the body: joints, musculoskeletal, circulation, and internal organs. The gentle moves send powerful neurological impulses to the brain. The brain processes the information and realigns the body. Respecting this feedback loop is essential for allowing the body to restore its natural balances. For this reason, clients are asked to avoid other modalities for a short time, because they may stop the process your body has started.
We recommend 2-3 sessions one week apart. By the third session you will discover if Bowen is effective for you and your concerns.
You may notice changes taking place throughout your body over the next week.
You can maximize this process by following the Client guidelines.
